In February 2026, 255 BlackTwist creators who met minimum analysis thresholds (100+ followers, 1,000+ views) published 20,717 posts, generating over 27.4 million views. Long form threads continued to dominate in reach with 5,072 average views per post, while long posts achieved the highest engagement rate at 7.29%. Daily and twice-daily posters saw the strongest median growth, and creators who received 100+ replies grew at a median rate of nearly 10%. Saturday emerged as the highest-reach day with 2,912 average views per post.
The top growers in February leaned heavily into long form threads — the format that averaged 14,343 views per post. Many posted daily or more, with 8 of the top 10 by growth rate posting 10+ times per week. High-growth creators also generated significantly more replies, suggesting that conversation-starting content is a key driver of algorithmic reach on Threads.

The frequency advantage
Creators posting 10+ times per week grew at a median rate of 8.3%, compared to just 3.0% for those posting 1-2 times per week. The sweet spot appears to be daily or more — but even posting 5-6 times per week showed strong results with 22.65% median growth.

Engagement drives growth
Creators who received 500+ total replies in February grew at an average rate of 22.5%, compared to 15.1% for those with fewer than 10 replies. Likes showed the strongest correlation with views (0.208), suggesting that the Threads algorithm rewards content that generates immediate positive engagement. Posts with less than 1% engagement rate paradoxically had the highest average views (9,818) — likely because viral posts accumulate views faster than engagement.
Content Analysis
What content characteristics correlate with better performance?
Monday posts significantly outperformed all other days with 12,819 average views — likely driven by a few viral posts. The 200-499 character range (long captions) performed best on average with 6,705 views per post. Media posts had higher engagement rates (6.75% vs 4.49%) but lower average views (3,031 vs 4,298), suggesting text-only posts may get broader distribution while media posts generate deeper engagement. Note: topic analysis was limited as approximately 95% of posts lacked topic tags.
1,760 Threads accounts with at least one published post between February 1-28, 2026. All accounts are users of BlackTwist, a Threads analytics and management tool. This is not a random sample of all Threads creators — results reflect the behavior and performance of BlackTwist users specifically.
Growth rate rankings require a minimum of 100 followers at the start of the month. Engagement rate post rankings require a minimum of 1,000 views.
Caveats
This data represents BlackTwist users only and may not reflect broader Threads trends. View counts and engagement metrics are cumulative snapshots and may include engagement from after February 28. Correlation values are Pearson coefficients and do not imply causation.
